Biedouw Valley Enduro

The Biedouw Valley Enduro is a 127,4-kilometer gravel road hike along the northern banks of the Biedouw river, hemmed in by the steep Biedouw mountains and koppies. Crystal clear streams and stunning old farm dwellings with a display of flowers in spring bring you to the silence and power of natural elements. ​

Headed the Tra-Tra mountains towards Calvinia on the old “TREKPAD”  you’re assured of seeing very few people and even vehicles.

The hikers access the Biedouw valley from the Northern Cape.

Start hiking from Calvinia follow the R355 and turn right at Voëlfontein situated in the Tankwa Karoo.

At Uitspanskraal the hikers cross the Western Cape border where the Biedouw Valley starts.
